When and How to Tip Dealers
Tipping is a fundamental part of casino culture. Dealers depend on tips as a significant portion of their income. Standard tipping practices include placing a bet for the dealer when you win, contributing chips to a dealer pool, or handing chips directly to the dealer. The typical range is 5-10% of winnings, though smaller amounts are appropriate during losing sessions. At blackjack, place tip bets in front of your betting area. At craps, place chips on the rail. Never tip after a losing hand—this sends the wrong message.
